NJD Sports Injury Clinic helps local duathleteAfter completing the popular Clitheroe Triathlon in August, Stephen Dent plans to conquer the beautiful scenic, but notoriously difficult and rugged Helwith Bridge Duathlon on Sunday, 9th October 2011. The arduous bike section, an undulating 23 miles of roads enclosed by a network of dry stone walls, passes through the eye catching villages of Horton in Ribblesdale, Ribblehead, Ingleton, Clapham and Austwick before returning to Helwith Bridge. The bike section is between 2 x 4 mile runs. |

Grand Vet Champion Graham "MTB" Fielding (NJD Sports Injury Clinic client) finishes the 2011 season on a highBritish Mountain Bike Orienteering National One Day Champion (Grand Vets M50 Class) finished 45th / 1700 riders in the extraordinarily grueling Isle of Man End-to-End challenge. Graham managed to secure a place on the podium, finishing 3rd in his age group. Not satisfied with 3rd place, Graham said "I plan to win next year". |

NJD Sports Injury Clinic team compete in final 2011 Winter Duathlon Series.
The NJD Sports Injury Clinic team successfully completed their first full Duathlon. The weather was cold but dry, with little wind. The duathlon comprised 3 mile run, 10 mile cycle ride, finishing with a repeat of the 3 mile run.
NJD Sports Injury Clinic help local athletes excel in the 2010 Clitheroe Triathlon.
The annual Clitheroe Triathlon, held on 22nd August, was superbly organised by Epic Events and proved to be very popular with over 200 athletes. The athletes enjoyed the sunshine while taking in some of the most beautiful scenery the Ribble Valley has to offer. The family clinic was represented by sisters Helen and Nicola Dinsdale competing in the relay category. Unfortunately, Clinical Director Nick Dinsdale was unable to compete for health reasons. A late substitute made up the team finishing the cycle leg in a creditable 1.12.01 after throwing up twice on route.
Nick Dinsdale is guest speaker at the McTimoney Chiropractic Association’s Annual 2-day Conference 2010 - Hilton Hotel Basingstoke.
“The MCA Conference was a huge success this year was held at the Hilton Hotel, Basingstoke and was a great success. Over 100 delegates attended the Conference on each day, and the event provided an important forum for colleagues to exchange ideas and learn new skills”
Nicola Dinsdale wins the prestigious annual - Bruce Hobbs Travelling Scholarship 2010, awarded by The Society of Sports Therapist.
The winner of the Bruce Hobbs Travelling Scholarship 2010 was Nicola Dinsdale. Nicola is a BSc (Hons) Sports Therapy Graduate from Teesside University and works in NJD Sports Injury Clinic, Clitheroe, Lancashire, which she runs with her father Nick Dinsdale. She recently spent 3 weeks in Ghana where her time mainly consisted of working with the Hearts of Oak Football Premiership team and working in a local hospital. We talked to Nicola about her trip.
